Submitted by communitylivingadmin on Mon, 2007-06-11 23:09.

The goal of TAY (Transitional Aged Youth) is to prepare individuals with intellectual disabilities between the ages of 14-21 with life skills they will need to transition from high school to the community. These life skills may include job searching, employment skills, participating in recreational activities, and applying for funding. The TAY program is important as it allows individuals to develop individual plans throughout high school to be prepared for the transition from high school to adult life. Connie McLean is preparing classes that will begin in September such as, Basic Drivers Ed training and cooking. The hope with these classes is to assist individuals to be better prepared for the future and to improve their skills. For any information about the TAY program please contact Connie McLean at 613-394-2300  or email at connie@clqw.ca
